A Novel Online Monitoring and Feeder Fiber Protection Scheme for Passive Optical Network (PON)
Abstract: A novel online monitoring and protection scheme based on Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) and optical switches is proposed. In the experiment, online monitoring as well as the protection of feeder fiber can be achieved.
