Abstract: In order to explore the influence of different residence on the relationship between time percep-tion (TP) and subjective well being (SWB), we conducted questionnaires on 411 aged people from two different communities. Results indicated that Past-Positive TP and Present-Hedonistic TP can positively predict the SWB of the elderly in the common community, and Present-Fatalistic TP and Future TP can negatively predict the SWB of the elderly in the resettlement area. It was also found that the residence played a significant moderating role between Past-Positive TP and SWB, Pre- sent-Fatalistic TP and SWB, Future TP and SWB of the aged.
